Watch for Portuguese Man-of-War
CEA executive director Paul Sánchez-Navarro reports on Portuguese Man-of-War jelly fish in the Akumal area:
"We've seen only about 5 of the puffy things come ashore, but I thought it might be important to mention, as I have never seen one here in my 3 years here."
The have powerful stinging tentacles and shouldn't be touched in the water or on the shore, where the tentacles can still deliver a sting.
